Snack Schedule – XC

Please WELCOME our parent Dona Leonard (mom of Jamie & Trinity) who has graciously volunteered to be our teams Snack Schedule Coordinator. She will be managing the snack schedule from our new sign up form, sending reminders  and answering any questions you may have concerning snacks.

Things to Know for the Cross Country Athletes Snacks

We have about 85 athletes on the team and even though we expect every athlete to bring their own snack as well as a water bottle to every meet, they do seem to appreciate having a tiny something parents have contributed.

If you would like to offer to bring something to one of the meet(s), click this Link: Snack Schedule Cross Country

We will no longer be sending the snacks or water on the bus with the team. All water and snacks will need to be brought by you or if you are unable to bring them yourself we suggest making arrangements with another family to help get your contribution to the meet.

Parents when you sign-up keep in mind to help keep the cost down for our families, more than one family can sign up in each category of items. Say if we need 6 cases of water then one family signs up for one or two cases, another family signs up and so on until we reach six. Same goes for all categories.

Water is pretty much a must have; it would be helpful (but not necessary) to have it on ice in a rolling cooler. Note to new parents the Saturday meets could be a long walk so you may want to have something handy to carry the case(s) of water.

PB & J sandwiches are hands-down the favorite they should be made on wheat bread (2 loaves works well), and cut in halves. It helps to wrap each individual half so they don’t dry out. Cover a large flat box with foil and lay them in there.

Granola Bars; easy and individually packaged. Costco size box 50 count works. Any leftover we can carry over to the next meet.

Fruit; grapes, cut oranges and banana’s are favorites.
Fill two one-gallon zip lock bags. Banana’s can be brought in a bunch.

Other ~ Healthy Snacks; this category is open for your choice of a healthy snack to contribute.

Thank you all for the continued support you offer to these athletes and coaches!
