On behalf of the entire coaching staff,

On behalf of the entire coaching staff,

Anyone that had the opportunity to be a part of the Redondo Nike Track Festival should be especially proud after Saturdays meet. The performances of the team have been amazing over the years. But equally impressive has been the support and work put in by the Booster Club and its many volunteers. Last Saturday really was a shining moment for our entire program. I have received compliment after compliment about the what a spectacular meet we were hosting. Everyone loved the facilities and the electric meet atmosphere, but most of the compliments were directed towards our volunteers and meet coordination. These were a few of the emails I received;

Hope you are recovering from yesterday. We had a great time & the kids are asking about coming next year already. They loved the music & I loved the races being on time & ahead of schedule towards the end. You & your event staff did a terrific job.
Thank you,

I wanted to drop you guys a quick note and congratulate you on an outstanding job yesterday.  We do many meets every single year and your meet yesterday was one of the best I have ever been associated with.  Your staff was organized, the talent was loaded, the environment was jumping, and the kids and coaches had a great time!  My hat is off to both of you for all your efforts!  Have a great rest of the season!
Thanks,

Dear Coach Bob Leetch
I am a student althea from Vistamar and would like to thank you very much for hosting the track meet today. Everything went smoothly and the environment was fantastic. My whole family had a great time today and was impressed with the organization. I apperate all your hard work and all your staffs hard work.

Thanks a lot to you and your whole team and booster club for putting on the meet yesterday. The Chadwick runners had a blast and we had a whole bunch of PRs, a couple school records in the DMRs and (of course) a nice win for Jaye in the mile. The meet seemed like a hug success – great times, good music, lots of fun – and I know it must have been an incredible amount of work for everyone involved.
Thanks again.

The email below delivers well-deserved kudos about our great track meet
on Saturday.  It was an amazing day.

THANK YOU Bob, Julie and all of your staff, Keith and your ROTC cadets,
the amazing track boosters,

Marvin, Cesar, Eddie, Andy and John.
I am so proud and thankful to be working with such an outstanding team!
If only you could see the big smile on my face right now.  Thanks again!

Ms. Little
I wanted to drop you an email to provide you with some feedback about an excellent day my family had at your school.

Last Saturday, my 10th grade daughter participated in the track
invitational hosted by Redondo. She was one of two athletes from her
school to participate. My wife is the assistant track coach at South
Hill HS and wanted to get some extra meets for our daughter and another boy. Your staff make sure they could run despite their late entry.

Additionally, the young ROTC men and woman could not have been anymore respectful or helpful. What a great example of how the ROTC can help young people become young adults. Who ever  their leader is should be commended.

I met one of your custodial staff, I wish I could remember his name, he
was cheerful, said hello, and was hard at work all day, emptying trash
cans, cleaning the men room and picking up trash. No an easy job with
1000 young athletes and their parents around.

Finally the athletic staff and boosters, wow what can I say, I only
dream that our school had just one of them behind us. The volunteers
where awesome. I have been involved in many many high school athletic events over the past 30 years and this event was one of the best run events I have ever been to.

I hope your students realize how special your staff and their facilities
are. My daughter runs on a old dirt track with 30 old equipment. Her
reaction to your facility was priceless. She asked wife if this is what
she can expect in College facility wise. My wife who attend College on a
track scholarship replied, no this place is nicer than Cal Poly where
she ran track.

My wife will be pushing to bring our entire team next year!!!
Please share this with anyone you would like to.
Thank you
Eric Donnelly

Hello, Principal Little,

I know it has been several weeks since the Redondo Beach Nike Invitational Track Meet, but nevertheless, I have been meaning to send an e-mail to let you know that your school and your track parent volunteers hosted a WONDERFUL MEET! The event was truly festive. We especially loved the music that played all day; the great pop songs were loud enough to be enjoyed, but not so loud as to take away from the competition. Additionally, the snack shack food was AWESOME — the best I have ever tasted at a meet! Likewise, your parent volunteers were so friendly and well organized, and the presence of your ROTC students stirred our collective sense of patriotism.

It’s so rare to enjoy a “Small Town USA” atmosphere in the middle of greater LA these days, but on that day, in the stadium of your school, I and many other families found that “Small Town USA” spirit to be alive and well.

If you could please pass on our heartfelt thanks to your Track Team coaches, parents, and athletes, I would be most grateful.

Thank you,
Linda Krulac (parent)

And these are just the emails. The personal contact I made with coaches was beyond words. They were absolutely blown away. Everyone said the Redondo Nike Track Festival is already on the schedule for next year.
I did not work closely with most of our great volunteers but I know all did an amazing job. I would like to give a special thank you to Cathy Herold, Laurie Baker and Leslie Mull for heading up most of the coordinating efforts. You guys were terrific. And this meet would have been a shadow of what we witnessed had it not been for the hard work and resourcefulness of Susan Ryan. Great job.
Thanks again for all the hard work put in. People noticed, but most importantly the kids felt a strong sense of pride knowing this is just another piece of our proud program that is always striving for excellence.
Carpe Diem
Bob Leetch
